Emageia is an Australian tech company with its back office based in Sri Lanka. We are a Managed IT Services Provider (MSP) with a strong background in Microsoft Enterprise Solutions for SMB’s and are currently looking to expand our fast-growing technical support team.

As an IT Support Executive, you will work in a Managed IT Service environment supporting our client on all technical related requests including installing, configuring, troubleshooting, hardware, and software application issues either remotely or in person.

Job Vacancy: IT Support Executive

Work Week: Monday to Friday

Shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM – Sri Lankan Standard Shift

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, PCs, peripherals, IT tools/equipment.
  • Install, administer, and upgrade the computer network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot problems arising from hardware, software, application systems, network infrastructure viruses.
  • Install/reinstall and configure packaged software and applications, antivirus, software utilities, and patches.
  • Setup equipment for all staff working in offices or those working-from-home
  • Assign priorities to problems reported, based on the severity, and coordinate with the concerned parties, where required, in tracking and resolving the problem.
  • Provide end user support on systems/applications Intranet and Internet usage and ensure quick resolution.
  • Respond to queries on the status of the problem or service request.
  • Follow service desk procedures (SLA, ITIL) and deliver excellent support and customer service.
  • Diagnose and resolve user tickets related to hardware, software, and networking.
  • Maintain a current inventory of hardware and software.
  • Coordinate with IT vendors for IT asset procurement, delivery, upgrades, replacements, warranty, and payments.

You should have

  • An HND in Computer Science from a recognized institute or certified in computer hardware / networking or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an MSP IT Support Desk, or similar capacity.
  • In depth knowledge in Windows 10, 8.1, 8 / MS Office administration and troubleshooting
  • Experience in network cabling, patching, standard router, network switch, access point configuration and troubleshooting.
  • General understanding & administration experience in handling Servers, Firewall, IT security, DNS, DHCP, IIS, WSUS, Active directory Domain environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation skills, can-do attitude and interpersonal skills is a must.
  • Good command in speaking & writing – English language is mandatory.
  • A natural curiosity and eagerness to learn and improve
  • Ability to work in corporate team environments
  • Ability to work independently
  • Having a motorbike with valid license will be a value addition.
